Two artists have an idea for a collaborative art project. Artist One lives Berlin, Germany. Artist Two lives in Glasgow, Scotland. Artists communicate ideas via email over six weeks. The two artists decide to create the art project and agree it will take place in Berlin for a one week period. Artist One Locates gallery space; gallery owner agrees to an exchange of artwork for use of the space. Gallery owner encourages artists to be working and performing in the space as part of First Thursday’s Art Tour. The man who is filling car with large cardboard boxes agrees to trade the two artists 4 euros for the 4 large boxes. The cardboard is in great condition and the pieces so large, it seems a fair deal. The man kindly offers a lift with cardboard around the block to Artist One’s flat. Artist’s go home to write project statement, create project logo, make project poster, and begin project blog (4 hours). Tuesday AM Artists purchase string, bungee cords, stanley knife from Centland (€4.45). Artists load cardboard onto bicycle, materials into rucksack and push bike 30 minutes from flat to gallery space. Artists unload cardboard from bicycle and leave gallery to source paint. They purchase 4 bottles of matt household paint and 3 rolls of masking tape from Bauhaus (45 minutes,€26.25). Tuesday PM Artists return to gallery space and begin making work (4.5 hours). Artists leave gallery and return home to continue research and writing about the project. Artists begin this record of activity (3 hours). Wednesday AM/PM Artists gather more cardboard and return to the gallery space to work for the day (8 hours). They leave for home with rucksacks of materials and continue making. Artists also record some sound for the project (4 hours). Thursday AM/PM, Artists work in gallery. Artists sell 5 pieces of work to gallery visitors making 5 euros. Saturday AM/PM Artists open gallery 12-6pm. A man who buys 8 bottles of man and woman fragrance (€8.00). A lady who buys a box of so-safe flame free matches(€1.00). The artists close up shop at 6PM. Sunday AM Artists have made €25.00 so far from the sale of work and decide to move to Mauer Park Flea Market to encourage interest in work from the public and sales. They pay €25.00 for a table at the market. A man gives artists a handful of change for a small handful of carefully picked Faux Rose Petals (€1.00). A man who is dressed like a member of Police Academy lingers around the table fingering some products. He is very fashionable, as is his friend who wears skin tight jeans and a plaster on his right eyebrow. He buys three items; reading glasses, beachwear sandals and safety matches (€3.00). Two men approach the table behind the fashionable duo, one holding a video camera and one holding a fluffy microphone. They ask the two artists 'what is this?'. They discuss the project together. The film crew tell the artists it is a nice idea. They take some close up shots of the man dressed for Police Academy picking up products. Artist One asks them what they are filming for and they reply "Belgian television". The rain starts and Artist Two goes to find some plastic cover (25 minutes). Artist Two returns with a yellow rain poncho (€3.00). The artists cover the soggy cardboard work with the rain poncho. At 1.15PM the artists decide to pack up and leave the market. The rain is relentless and they admit defeat. Sunday PM That night the artists gamble their profit (amounting to 1 euro) in a slot machine at a local casino. They lose all they had within seconds.

The Artists decide that next time they should be more prepared for adverse weather conditions and really must find a friend who is a more experienced gambler.
